How far in advance should I schedule?
Typically, I'm scheduling a month out. But I can sometimes accommodate sooner if you are prepared. When do you want to shoot?

How do I prepare for my session?
We’ll send tips, thoughts, ideas, and directions as soon as we’ve confirmed your session. 

Do you shoot on the weekends? 
Yes! I know actors, artists, and entrepreneurs make lots of sacrifices to do what they love. And we don’t always have the flexibility to schedule on a weekday. So, Yes. See you Sunday.

I’m nervous about pictures. Can we meet before hand?
Absolutely! I’m happy to meet. Professionally speaking, there is nothing I like to talk about more than headshots, your career dreams, how you plan to use your images, and how our images will move your career forward. Let’s chat.

Do I need to pay a deposit? 
Yes. Your initial payment is then deducted from your balance. Balance is due on the day of your shoot.

I got a callback for my shoot date!!! I need to reschedule? Do I lose my initial payment?
If we can reschedule within one month, your deposit can roll over. Otherwise, you will lose your reservation deposit.

Do you shoot outside? 
Sure, if you’d like.

Do I need a make-up artist? 
Yes, if you plan on wearing make-up in your pictures, you need a professional MUA. With limited exception, anyone wearing make-up needs professional application. I have several very skilled professional MUAs that understand make-up for headshot photography.

I'm a guy and I don't want to wear make-up? 
Great. I don’t want you to wear make-up. 

What should I wear? 
That’s a whole conversation. Most importantly, you want to wear something that makes you feel confident. Hint: I hope that you prep for your shoot as though you are the Wardrobe Supervisor or Costume Designer for this project. In other words, make smart choices with regard to image, character type, color, fit, etc. 

What if I don’t like the pictures? Do you offer reshoots?
Nope. We get it right the first time. If there is something wrong, we address it immediately at your session. I take lots of pictures … LOTS. I will work with you until you are comfortable and we are getting good shots.

When can I see the pictures?
Within 7 days after we shoot.

When do I get my retouched images?
Within 7 days from the time you submit your choices. I also offer rush services for an additional fee if you need them sooner.

Can I get the whole session in digital files?
Yes. If you are finding you like so many pictures you want to keep more to edit later, you may purchase your entire unedited session, or all your favorites. 

Can I get the RAW files? 
No. I deliver in large Jpeg files.

Why aren't the digital files included? 
Because if we are shooting your headshot or professional portrait, I want you to be ruthless making your choices. We're crafting your professional signature, not shooting content for your Insta feed. In a visually saturated online world, we want your images to stand out. They must be refined, polished to an “industry standard”. We can shoot for your Insta and FB feed too, but that's a different package.

How do I pay?
We accept cash, checks, Venmo, and credit cards via online invoicing on the day of your session.

Do you offer discounts?
Yes. Returning clients receive a returning client rate. We also have special rates for groups, schools, and businesses. Just ask!
